Basic intro to how to protect yourself online…
OK I was contacted by a friend the other day who was having serious problems with Spyware, Adware, and possibly viruses. Who isn’t these days, right? Well, I’ve never had a huge problem with it. It’s all about browsing smart. Click to read on to view the slightly modifiedObviously I’m not going to give out anyone’s personal information, and I’m not going to put in small talk stuff. Also, I’ve added a few things to it since I’ve had longer to think about it. email I sent him.

Email notifications for the blog
If you want to be notified when I update so you don’t have to come back all the time to check, email me at travis@moneyburger.com and I’ll add you to the list. I might decide to pop that up on the website as a form that will automagically add you to it. Won’t that be fun?
Edit: since I moved to WordPress, I have yet to find a mass email system that will mass email when I post, so ignore this post until I can find one. If I ever do.
Blog Plans
If you’ll notice in the top left corner below the very close up shot of lil’ ol’ me, you’ll see that a Photoblog and a Musicblog are “coming soon.” Here’s an explanation.
If you remember back in the day when I was actually updating this thing, I had a photoblog. It was rockin. Well, ok, so it only had about 4 pictures on it. Point being, I’m going to make another one (since I forgot to back that one up last time around) and since I don’t forsee using 56k in the near future, I’ll actually have the patience to update it.
Now, on to the Musicblog. This is something I’ve never seen done before and it has an interesting history. For about a year now, I’ve been wanting to start at the beginning of my music collection (in alphabetical order by artist, then chronological order by album, with the exception of tapes which I haven’t alphabetized period) and listen to one cd a day (though I know I’ll miss days) and just go through the entire thing so that in about 2 years I will have listened to every album I own. Katie said that I should blog it all with a review of every one of them and, you know what? I’m going to. I’ll probably eventually have recent entries in each along the sidebar of the main blog (what you’re reading right now) with a wee-ickle thumbnail image for the recent photoblog entries and the album title for the musicblog entries. Since Dave gave me the quick crash course in Movable Type, I feel confident that I can handle all that.
Anyway, just thought you’d be interested in knowing what would be soon to come.
But maybe you don’t care.
