Imagine this:
You wake up tomorrow morning. You get out of bed, go and pour yourself a glass of water.
The purity of that water is regulated by the government.
You take a shower, get ready to go, and head out the door, and take a deep breath.
The purity of the air is regulated by the government.
You start your car, which runs on gas, whose price is regulated by the government.
You drive down the road, provided by the government.
Maybe you stop and take your kids to school. The condition of your children’s education is regulated by the government.
You go to work, your wages are regulated – in part at least – by the government.
Maybe you take your child to soccer practice, or football, basketball, baseball, whatever… most likely sponsored by a government funded recreation center.
You walk on American soil, you breathe American air, you drink American water, you eat food from American farmers.
Now look me in the eye and tell me why you’re not voting on Nov. 2.
Many people died for democracy, and democracy relies on voters. Don’t you think that, more than just the right, you have the DUTY to go to the polls and vote?
I don’t care if you support Bush (though I don’t know how you could at this point) or Kerry, let your voice be heard.
