I have a couple of suggestions if you haven’t found out for yourself. VMware Server does run on Windows XP. I have been running it nicely since the first beta. Also, I recently wrote an article on <a> 5 ways to help new Ubuntu users</a>. Check it out if you get a chance and let me know if your experience with Ubuntu have been similar to what is described in the article.
