Happy Halloween
Katie and I carved the coolest pumpkin in the world:
Thirty minutes…
Thirty minutes… then I get off work, try to eat something and go to my second interview at the bank I was talking about. Wish me luck everyone!! I wasn’t nervous at all, because the last interview was very relaxed and, though this bank is a rather large company, it felt like an interview for a job at a small home-grown business. Now, however, the nerves are setting in. Ah well, I’ll get over it. Two hours from now it’ll all be over.
Mao!
This is the best card game ever. Katie, Jacy, Noah, and I played this for hours a year ago or so. You shouldn’t read this page, because one rule of Mao is that you can’t discuss the rules. If you read this and start playing Mao, though, you may find that you have no clue what’s going on, because the point of Mao is to basically be like Uno, except there are obscure rules that nobody knows until they play and figure them out. Some caught on, some didn’t. So the rule variations in different circles are different. I’ve seen many different rules on different sites, they never match up, but this link has all the rules we used that night, and a lot more that I’d never heard of. I found this by searching for “bullshit” because we couldn’t remember how to play.
Anyway, here’s the link, it’ll make more sense when you read it.
URI vs. URL
So maybe it’s just the WordPress authors’ preference, but when did URI start being used in place of URL? It seems like lately more people are using URI, and I’m really not sure why.
WordPress
Now using WordPress! Movable Type is starting to be a bitch (the company, not the platform) and WordPress is Open Source. Things look a little off, but that will be fixed asap.
Email notifications for the blog
If you want to be notified when I update so you don’t have to come back all the time to check, email me at travis@moneyburger.com and I’ll add you to the list. I might decide to pop that up on the website as a form that will automagically add you to it. Won’t that be fun?
Edit: since I moved to WordPress, I have yet to find a mass email system that will mass email when I post, so ignore this post until I can find one. If I ever do.
